What is Teagime?
Teagime stands for Tea Regime, and we’re proud to be the only provider of a personalised teatox programme. We believe you are unique, and that a one-size-fits-all tea may not meet your individual needs.
How is Teagime different?
Everyone is different, so why should your tea be the same as the next person’s?
Teagime’s personalized programme custom blends teas, herbs and other ingredients to ensure every cup of teatox is optimised for your health and energy needs. Based on the information provided in your questionnaire, we will craft the perfect teatox for you to:
- Support Detoxing
- Boost Metabolism and Increase Energy Levels
- Beat Mid-Afternoon Sugar Cravings
Finally, we never ever use laxatives, flavourings or preservatives.
What if I don't like some ingredients, like mint?
Simply notify us of ingredients you don’t like when signing up and we will be careful not to include them in your blends.
What should I expect from my Teagime box?
When you first join us, you’ll receive a welcome booklet, an exclusive Teagime tea infuser, an ingredient information sheet, and three blends that are formulated just for you.
Because every box is blended immediately before we send it out, we cannot tell you in advance what ingredients will be used – these will all be carefully detailed in the information sheet. If you are allergic to anything, just let us know in the sign-up process or in your account area.
But generally, here are the benefits you can expect from each box:
Morning Teas are packed full of antioxidants, with energy and immunity boosters designed to balance your mood. They also help fight the nasty effects of stress, ageing and pollution.
Afternoon Teas help you beat your mid-afternoon sugar craves and keep your energy levels up during the day. Drinking tea with or after a meal can help promote weight loss and fat burn.
Evening Teas help you digest your evening meal more efficiently and unwind after a long day, which means you have the opportunity for some high quality shut-eye. Sleep is so important – just one night of poor sleep can make you age faster and store more body fat. Good sleep balances your hormones, boosts your metabolism, and fortifies your immune system.
How do I pay?
Payment will be taken from your stored debit or credit card up to three days before your box is due (we personalise each box, so we need some time to prepare them).
How much does Teagime cost?
A standard 14 day Teagime supply costs £29.99. While it might appear more expensive than other detox teas, every Teagime box is carefully blended just for your needs. If you are not satisfied for any reason, we will pay for return postage and send you a replacement or refund within 7 days of receipt.
How do I cancel my deliveries?
Just sign into your account, and click on ‘Manage my Teagime’ from the left. Then click on ‘Cancel my Subscription’, and we will stop sending you boxes.
What if my box is late?
We always pack and ship your boxes with sufficient time for them to get to you. We send all your boxes via Royal Mail. Sometimes they may be held up, though, for reasons beyond our control, so we can't promise that your box will get to you on an exact day. If your box hasn't arrived the next day, you can let us know at contact (at) teagime.com.
How much tea will I receive?
Every Teagime box contains a two-week supply of tea, one for the morning, afternoon and evening. Plenty of tea is included, more than enough for a generous 3-teaspoon serving per cup. The infusers included with your first box measure out a perfect serving for each cup :)
Is there caffeine in my Teagime?
Afternoon teas will contain caffeine unless you would prefer otherwise– in which case we will be careful not to include any caffeinated herbs in your blend.
As for morning teas, it depends. We are used to downing a cup of coffee or black tea in the morning for a caffeine boost, but we understand not everyone has breakfast. If you don’t have something to eat along with your drink, the caffeine and tannic acids in tea may cause discomfort to an empty stomach.
So if you indicate on your questionnaire that you don’t eat breakfast in the morning, we will send you a specially formulated blend of herbs to provide the energy booster you need.
Finally, our evening blends do not contain any caffeine whatsoever, to ensure that you’ll be able to sleep easy.
Is Teagime a meal replacement? Do you provide an eating plan?
No, Teagime is not a meal replacement, and we don’t advocate going on a no-meat/no-carb/latest fad diet either. While you’re on your Teagime, the natural effects of the herbs will make you want to eat healthier and stave off thoughts of sugary snacks.
How often will you deliver to me?
As our blends never contain laxatives, you can be on a Teagime for as long as you like. Every two weeks we’ll send you different tea than the last box you received, so you will never become bored!
Where can I check the best before dates?
The best before dates for each of your blends can be found in the ingredient information sheet inside your box.
Does Teagime contain gluten or nuts?
To the best of our knowledge, all of the herbs used in our blends are gluten-free. We do not use wheat, barley, rye, oats or nuts in any of our blends. Every pouch of tea is hand-blended by us before being sent out, and we do not process them in an environment that is at risk of cross-contamination.
Can I start a Teagime if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Unfortunately, no :(
Starting a Teagime during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not recommended, as the herbs used in our blends are powerful. In addition, there is a lack of research stating that they are safe to use during pregnancy and some herbs can induce uterine contractions, stimulate menstrual flow, and affect hormonal levels.
Can I start a Teagime if I'm on the Pill?
Our teas should not affect the efficacy of contraceptive pills as we do not include laxatives. Diarrhoea or vomitting can cause protection against pregnancy to be affected. We will also be careful to exclude herbs which modulate hormones if you indicate on your questionnaire that you're on the Pill, so your Teagime should not affect the contraceptive pill any more than a normal cup of green tea :)
